How to consign with us

Email or Instagram
The simplest way to get started—send us photos of your items via email or direct message on Instagram. Our team will review your submissions and let you know which pieces we can accept.

Item drop-off
Item drop-offs are by appointment only, available Monday through Friday, between 10:00am and 4:00pm. Items must be in excellent, wearable condition, and clothing should be brought on hangers. We’re happy to return hangers, garment bags, and other storage items after review.

House calls
For your convenience, we offer house calls for consignment. These quick and efficient appointments typically take 30 minutes or less. To schedule, reach out to us via email.
What we accept
We accept a curated selection of women’s fashion items, ranging from vintage to contemporary styles. This includes clothing, shoes, handbags, jewelry, and accessories. Additionally, we accept like-new home decor, such as books, lighting, art, tabletop items, linens, small furniture, and more.
All items are evaluated based on condition, demand, and seasonality. While we appreciate diverse styles, our focus is on superior quality and in-demand pieces that align with our shop's aesthetic.

Consignment policy
Authenticity:
All items must be authentic. Our team carefully inspects each piece before placing it for sale.
Minimum Items:
A minimum of five (5) accepted items is required to open a consignment account.
Seasonal Acceptance:
Items are accepted seasonally. For example, spring/summer items are consigned from February to April, while fall/winter items are consigned from August to October.
Ineligible Items:
We do not accept undergarments, activewear, or items that are heavily worn, damaged, or in need of repair.
Condition:
All items must be in very good, wearable, or usable condition. Clothing should be brought on hangers. Items with visible stains, holes, cracks, or previous repairs will not be accepted. Home goods with visible cracks, scratches or repairs will not be accepted.
Pricing:
Our team determines pricing based on market trends, brand value, and item condition. Consignors may provide input on pricing for high-value items.
Commission Structure:
Consignors receive 50% of the final selling price, less sales tax. All items sold in-person at our AG Antiques location will receive a 50/50 split payout after taxes and 10% store commission.
For higher-value pieces, such as Chanel or Hermès handbags, consignors can receive up to 70%. The exact percentage is determined during the consignment process.
Payouts:
Consignor payments are issued on the 1st of the month or the first Monday, whichever comes first. Payments are made via Venmo only. Consignors have full access to a shared spreadsheet tracking account inventory, all sales and payout dates.
Consignment Duration:
Items are placed on consignment for six (6) months. If an item remains unsold after this period, it becomes property of Mercer Vintage, and the 50/50 split is no longer applicable.
Consignment Agreement:
A consignment agreement outlining terms and conditions must be signed before items are placed for sale.
Item Return:
Items may be returned if deemed unsuitable for sale after further inspection.

Monthly payouts
Consignor payments are issued on the 1st of the month or the first Monday, whichever comes first. Payments are made via Venmo. Should there ever be a delay, consignors will be informed promptly.
Additionally:
- If an item is damaged while in Mercer Vintage’s care, the 50% payout still applies.
- Consignors may apply credit from sold items toward in-store purchases.
- When shipping items for consignment, the shipping cost will be reimbursed to your client account.
Inventory tracking
Consignors receive regular updates on the status of their items, including sales, returns, or when the consignment period nears its end. A shared document tracks inventory status, final sale prices, previous and upcoming payouts and more. You can easily view this document or visit us in-store to stay informed.

Common questions
We accept upscale designer vintage and contemporary clothing, handbags, accessories, and home decor items in excellent or like-new condition. We look for unique, high-quality pieces that align with our aesthetic and client demand. Please note that we do not accept athletic wear, men’s clothing, costume jewelry or oversized furniture at this time.
